ChurchForm is an educational website dedicated to exploring the architecture, history, and cultural significance of some of Houston's most recognizable churches. Designed as an educational and accessible guide for visitors, ChurchForm helps people better understand what makes each church unique, not only as a place of worship, but as a monument shaped by history, culture, and design.

Unlike websites created for proselytizing purposes, ChurchForm approaches churches from a secular and educational perspective. The project is aimed at students, tourists, local residents, and anyone interested in architecture or history who wants to explore churches with greater context and appreciation. By focusing on observation and teaching, ChurchForm encourages visitors to see churches as living historical sites within our city.

ChurchForm stems from personal experience. Growing up influenced by a home and family of multiple Christian denominations, choosing which church to attend often became more of an architectural decision than a theological one. These early experiences sparked in me a lasting curiosity about ecclesiastical spaces, which later turned into a desire to discover what made each church I visited special. That same spirit of curiosity defines ChurchForm's mission today: to encourage exploration and learning in sacred places.

To make navigation simple and user-friendly, ChurchForm organizes churches into clear subsections based on denomination and architectural style. Each subsection features a group of major churches within the Greater Houston Area, and although our website is currently focused on Houston, it does not lack content. On our website, you can find all kinds of denominations, such as Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Latter-day Saints, Protestant, and many more, from which you can begin your church exploration.
